Presents new KP2000 MAX Film Compactor at ICE 2025

Pavel Gerätebau GmbH

Pavel Gerätebau GmbH from Halle (Westphalia / Germany) will unveil its new KP2000 MAX for the first time at this year’s ICE Europe in Munich (March 11–13, 2025). As the latest addition to the proven KP series, it offers significantly higher throughput and simplifies handling with a newly designed, top-mounted compaction channel. This eliminates the need for the support frame previously required in many applications.

What Are Film Compactors Used For?

Film compactors are primarily utilized in the plastics and packaging industry. They compress production scraps and edge trim from films or composite materials into compact rods using heat and pressure. As a result, companies can reduce waste volume by up to 80% and cut storage and transport costs. The resulting, single type material is easier to recycle or further process—an important step toward more sustainable production and waste-management practices.

Integration into Various Production and Recycling Processes

The new KP2000 MAX can be seamlessly integrated into slitting, extrusion, or printing lines. It is also suitable for lamination, coating, or recycling processes, thanks to an integrated vacuum extraction system that effectively collects film waste and channels it to the compaction chamber. With its 30% wider infeed area compared to the previous model, even larger and bulkier film remnants can be processed without difficulty.

Higher Performance with Simplified Loading

The heart of this development is a channel enlarged by 30%, enabling greater throughput. In addition, the top mounted discharge makes it possible to place collection boxes directly underneath, eliminating the need for a separate support frame. According to Managing Director Klaus Pavel, one key goal was to increase overall efficiency by reducing setup times and simplifying the integration of the machine into existing workflows:

“We are delighted to showcase our new machine for the first time. In creating this model, we built on our already proven systems and applied our comprehensive expertise to exceed customer expectations.”

Presentation at ICE Europe 2025

Visitors to ICE Europe can experience the KP2000 MAX firsthand at the Pavel Gerätebau GmbH booth (Hall A5, Booth 1620). The expert team will demonstrate the machine and offer guidance on process optimization and integrating the compactor into existing production lines.

“With the KP2000 MAX, we deliver a well-conceived solution for companies looking to streamline their operations while embracing a more resource-efficient production approach,” Pavel summarizes. “We look forward to presenting our latest development to an international audience at ICE Europe 2025 and advancing sustainable solutions for film processing together."
