Michael Baumeister, Managing Director responsible for technology at Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH in Siegsdorf since 2006, retired at the end of 2023. With effect from January 1, 2024, Nicolas Beyl succeeded him as Managing Director/CTO of Brückner Maschinenbau.
Nicolas Beyl brings a broad range of experience from technical and commercial managerial posts into this key position, including more than ten years of leadership responsibility as Managing Director in globally active mechanical engineering companies. From 2012 to 2020, as Managing Director of KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, he was in charge of the Reaction Process Machinery segment with over 500 employees, eight international production sites and various global sales locations. Most recently, Nicolas Beyl was the sole Managing Director of Single Group GmbH, an international manufacturer of temperature control units and systems.

In his 17 years as Managing Director, Michael Baumeister has made a significant contribution to the growth of Brückner Maschinenbau – the global market leader for film stretching lines – and to securing its global technology and market leadership. Since he joined the company in 2006, Brückner Maschinenbau's turnover has quadrupled to more than 800 million euros and the number of employees in his area of responsibility has increased from around 210 to 550 today.
Brückner Maschinenbau, world market leader in production lines for oriented films, is a member of Brückner Group, a family-owned, medium-sized group of companies with a total of 2,900 employees at 18 locations worldwide. Further group members are Brückner Servtec, a service provider for film stretching technology, Kiefel, a leading manufacturer of machines for natural fiber and plastics processing, and the Swiss company PackSys Global, a world-renowned manufacturer of state-of-the-art packaging machines.
